Venue considerations
Wheelchairs
The MacLachlan is a single level and accessible without the use of stairs. The main entry through the Log House is gradually sloped for ease of access. A large accessible washroom is available in the main exhibition building with a changing table.
A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available at the admission desk free of charge.
Accessible Parking
The parking lot at our site has three accessible parking spots available and the facility is wheel-chair accessible by ramp. All parking is complimentary.
Service Animals
All service animals are welcome.
Exhibitions and Programming
Support Persons
All those who require a support person with them to access our exhibits, programs, or events will be granted free admission for the support person.
Exhibit Text
Large print guides of the permanent exhibitions are available at the admission desk. Exhibit text can be requested in advance to listen on device of choice.
Caption Video
All permanent exhibits that include video have close captioning.
Assistive Listening Devices
Those who are hard of hearing may request FM assistive listening devices. These devices must be requested with at least 48 hours notice.
